The following is a walk through of the major steps and equipment used in the moulding process.

1. If the client does not possess any existing tooling for their product, then tooling needs to be initiated:

i. First a prototype pattern is prepared, with this pattern a 'first off' casting is made to determine the dimensional and mechanical properties of the part.

ii. If the 'first off' casting passes inspection, a matchplate is made in order to mass-produce the part. If the 'first off' casting fails, the pattern is modified and the process repeated.
